Be sure that if you are having jewelry appraisals done, be sure that you go to someone with accreditation. I have found that in El Paso, many customers are not aware of at least three different kinds of values you can use on your appraisals.

Appraising jewelry is a field where values play a major role. If there is no jewelry to appraise, their is no value. I was watching the Michelle Obama speech last night looking for the jewelry and all I saw was a small pair of pearl stud earrings and a wedding ring. Every new year, I sit down and review my insurance policies to be sure I have everything current. My home is in El Paso, Texas and my jewelry appraisal business gets very busy with requests at this time of year. Since gold and diamonds have seen a dramatic increase, don't get caught with a claim on an undervalued piece of jewelry. Be sure to have your items reviewed before you need to make a claim.
